Falling....

Finally the online shop is nearly ready to launch. We're aiming for January! And just in time for this brrrrrrrr weather! Cold weather aside, we do heart fall and winter so very much! Beautiful foliage under foot, switching to our favorite "indoor" bars, restaurants that surprise you with fireplaces, the days when the air goes from "that might be light rain" to "oh my that's snow!," hot chocolate with extra whipped cream, hot toddies and mould wine, the gentle hug of knit tights and a big ol' chunky wool sweater....Mmmmm. Come visit soon! www.shoppop.com

Kylie Wuz Here

We told you the 80s were back....and they appeared in our shop yesterday in the form of the come back pop princess extraordinaire Kylie Minogue. We almost Loco-motioned right on by this diminutive chanteuse, until we heard the Aussie accent asking us to hold a pair of Cheap Monday cords at the counter for her. She was so unassuming, sweet and absolutely un-diva like that we love her anew and even forgave her for getting "Can't get your out of my head" stuck in ours for an entire summer. Ms. Minogue went on to purchase the cords, a BB Dakota dress, Free People drapey split sleeve top and an oh so currant military inspired double breasted cardigan with puffy pagoda sleeves. After politely declining to try anything on, Ms. Minogue made her purchase. Did we mention just how bright this starlet is? She scored all four items for $252. We're hoping since she passed on trying things on, she'll have to return for an exchange. We're keeping her signed receipt just in case!

Cheap Monday

In case you hadn't heard, the trend of the $200 denim has faded away, pun intended. The ubiquitous label Cheap Monday has cornered the market on amazing denim with fits worth hundreds and hip cutting edge looks in a plethora of colors, shapes, and designs. Go classic with straight dark denim or rock out your 90s fantasy with spandex acid wash. And not just denim, Cheap Monday is full line of men’s and women’s couture clothing. Signature styles are usually exaggerated and edgy while at the same time simplistic, straight off the runway. And the absolute piece de resistance for POP, the warehouse for Cheap Monday is four blocks away. That means when we're running low or dare to try a few new styles, Oscar and I walk on over and check out the stock with the lovely Tae in the warehouse, pack it up and Tony calls us a car to deliver it! Voila.

The 90s are back....The 1890s?!!

It seems that every decade is in vogue right now, from the Jackie O sunglasses of the 70s, to the Alexis Carrington shoulder pads of the 80s to the neon high tops rocked through the early 90s, but what we didn't see coming were the 1890's! We're not complaining though because this 1890s inspiration takes the best fashion dos like pagoda puffy sleeves, corset looks but not the feel, dashing mens coats and top hats....The New York Times Style section profiled the trend in Thursday's Style section for mens wear using modern clothing/models in linotype prints.
